A Meaningful Process
Dando begins by listening to you. Once they understand your goals, they perform a detailed diagnostic of your entire business, identifying what needs to be done to take your business to the next level. Then they meet with you and share their insights – 48 hours away from the office, telephones, e-mail, and all the other distractions. Most importantly, they follow up to make sure implementation happens.
The Business Lifecycle™. Dando will determine where your business is operating on The Business Lifecycle™. They begin the transition process by conducting an Initial Diagnostic stage to determine exactly where your organization may be stuck and, thus, blocked from maturing into a Level II or Level III company. Together, you and Dando will design the specific steps that must be taken to make corrections within four major areas:
- People and Culture
- Systems and Productivity
- Sales and Marketing
- Accounting and Finance
The Initial Diagnostic. As part of the diagnostic, Dando will conduct a confidential interview with all of your key people and any appropriate outsiders you identify. They will review all pertinent documentation, including business plans, financial statements for the past five years, and reports, if any, prepared by other advisors. Finally, they will administer the time-tested and proven DiSC and Myers Briggs personal profile instruments as needed and approved by you.
Prescription for Change. After assessing all information collected, Dando will want to spend two days with you. During this time, they will present and discuss their observations, identify specific changes or modification needed and work with you to develop the steps necessary for your company to continue on your path to the next level of success.
Together you will identify a number of corrective action steps that you can begin implementing immediately. Together, you will determine the most effective way to communicate the new ideas and plans for change to the rest of the company. During this assessment and planning phase, they will ask you what kind of on-going assistance, if any, you will want from them. Kirk will discuss his commitment to helping you complete the transition process to a mature, financially stable, professionally managed and led company.
